Option 8: Using Video Response - Microsoft Flip (previously Flipgrid)
Starting June 29th, 2024, Flip will no longer be available through the main website. It can be used as an assignment in Microsoft Teams by adding a new app in a team. If it's not available in your SSC, you may want to ask your IT department to add it to their server. Read this article for more information.
Microsoft Flip is a tool that allows teachers to post a topic or a question and have students respond in a video format. Students can re-record themselves before submitting to the teacher and can add emojis, texts, stickers, drawings, or custom stickers.
For Google Workspace/Education users, the pedagogical ideas can also be reinvested using other tools. Padlet allows collaborators to record videos that can be shared with others. If you wish to have a private video, screencasting video tools (Loom, Screencastify) can be used to record and shared with the teacher in Classroom, for example.
Before Using This Tool
Make sure that students don't share any personal information in their videos.
Make sure you have permission to use these tools in your SSC.
