We have developed an online course tailored for both elementary and secondary ESL educators seeking innovative and ethical ways to integrate digital technology into the development of Competency 2.
During this hands-on workshop, we will explore the online course and diverse ways in which digital technology can be incorporated into educational practices. As educators, we have a pivotal role in preparing students for the reality of the ever-changing digital landscape. Leveraging digital technologies in the development of Competency 2 aligns with this responsibility and has undeniable benefits, for example to:
- verify understanding quickly using online quizzes in order to determine student readiness and guide future lessons;
- provide students with choices, i.e. to carry out a reinvestment task in a variety of ways, e.g., produce a podcast, a video, an animated story, etc.;
- collaborate in the same digital environment to plan, brainstorm, write ideas from a text, etc.;
- offer access to a variety of types of texts;
- provide opportunities to analyze, use the information and develop critical skills.
These are but a few examples of the benefits digital technology provides for the development of C2. Come discover how our online course can help you to integrate digital technology into your ESL teaching practices, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment for your students!
